Autocomplete Layouts
The autocomplete dropdown can display results in different layouts.
- Mixed list - all result types appear in one list. This is the safest default.
- Grouped list - results are grouped by visitor-facing type labels such as Articles, Contacts, Categories, or Files.
- Columns - results appear in separate columns where layout space allows.
For small websites, the mixed list is usually enough. For intranets or multi-source websites, grouped or column layouts can make results easier to scan.
