JP CE Slideshow Pro is an advanced slideshow element for YOOtheme Pro (Joomla and WordPress) that lets you build slides from real builder layouts — not just image + text overlays. Each slide can be standard content, a module, a sublayout, or an entire YOOtheme section referenced by ID. This makes it ideal for “section-based” hero concepts, feature presentations, product highlights, and richer editorial layouts where each slide needs its own structure.
Slideshow Pro includes the expected slideshow controls (animations, autoplay, navigation options, sizing and aspect-ratio control) while also solving a common real-world issue: complex section slides can be difficult to present well on phones. With an optional mobile behaviour, the slideshow can be disabled on mobile so the sections load stacked as a normal page for a cleaner, more readable experience.
Build Slides from Real Builder Layouts
JP CE Slideshow Pro extends YOOtheme Pro with a slideshow element that supports advanced slide content. Instead of being limited to simple text overlays, each slide can render structured layouts built with the YOOtheme builder.
Multiple Content Types per Slide
- Content: standard slide content for simple use cases
- Module: render a selected module/widget inside the slide
- Section: render a YOOtheme section by its unique Section ID
- Sublayout: use nested layouts for more advanced structures and dynamic lists
You can also mix content types within the same slideshow, depending on the needs of each slide.
Section-Based Slideshows
Use existing builder sections as slides by assigning each section a unique ID. When a section is used in the slideshow, it is displayed inside the slider instead of as a standalone section on the page. This enables classic multi-section storytelling while keeping everything editable in the builder.
Navigation Options, Including Thumbnail Nav
Use standard navigation controls, or enable thumbnail navigation by assigning a navigation thumbnail image to each slide. This is especially useful for larger presentations and product-style sliders.
Height, Aspect Ratio and Animation Control
- Custom height and aspect ratio options for predictable slide sizing
- Min/max height controls to avoid extreme layouts across devices
- Animation choices and autoplay options to match the design intent
Mobile-Friendly Behaviour
For section-heavy slideshows, mobile layouts can be challenging. Slideshow Pro includes an option to disable the slideshow on mobile devices so sections are displayed stacked as a normal page. This improves readability and avoids awkward cropping when slides contain complex layouts.
Dynamic Content Ready
Slideshow Pro works with YOOtheme Pro’s dynamic content, allowing slides to pull in content from your chosen sources where appropriate.
Implementation Notes
- For best results, keep slide content reasonably consistent in height across slides
- If using viewport-sized sections, match slideshow sizing settings accordingly to reduce layout flicker
