Why would you want a static html page instead of a full fledge Joomla CMS installation?
Speed! – with no database and only static html your website will have very fast pageloads
Massive traffic! – again, with no database a cheaper webhost can handle massive amounts of current users.
Security! – With no backend/administration and no database connection there is not much left for hackers to hack! Your website would be bullet proof!
Cost effective! – Its possible to host websites for free with no database. A static HTML website will run fast on even the simplest of webhosts.
Limitations?
You probably will see issues with embedded maps from Google or Open Street Map. We recommend you install the absolute minimum of extra plugins so that there are no strange conflicts. It can be some testing generations and some small modifications in the layouts you need to do but problems are very rare.
