How many subcategories can be nested ?

If I want to use dynamic content with Yootheme, it seems that only two subcategories can be displayed. If I want to branch deeper, e.g. to the product list display, then the dynamic category display on the left disappears.

   

after clicking on drinking trough
the left menu and grid disappear and only the bottom grid is shown.
