Hi,
On our site the Phoca Cart filter module throws a fatal error on the homepage and on product pages. The stack points at the PC UIKit layout override.
Versions:
Joomla 6.1.4
YOOtheme Pro 5.0.49
Phoca Cart 6.1.9
PC UIKit 2.2.3
PHP 8.5.11
Joomla\Registry\Format\Json::stringToObject(): Argument #1 ($data) must be of type string, null given, called in .../libraries/vendor/joomla/registry/src/Registry.php on line 335
Call stack, shortened:
Json::stringToObject() — libraries/vendor/joomla/registry/src/Format/Json.php:53
Registry::loadString() — libraries/vendor/joomla/registry/src/Registry.php:335
plugins/system/pcuikit_override/html_override/layouts/com_phocacart/form_filter_text.php:18
PhocacartFilter->renderList() — administrator/components/com_phocacart/libraries/phocacart/filter/filter.php:519
modules/mod_phocacart_filter/tmpl/default.php:12
In form_filter_text.php the override does this:
$module = ModuleHelper::getModule('jp_phocacart_filter');
$params = new Registry();
$params->loadString($module->params);
We do not have a jp_phocacart_filter module. The filter on the site is mod_phocacart_filter. getModule() comes back empty, $module->params is null, and loadString() then hits the strict string type on stringToObject(). The stock Phoca layout for this file does not load module params this way.
On our copy we stopped passing null into loadString(), and the filter renders again. Happy to test a fix if you have one.
Thanks
